Colour is the not-so-common Mocha Brown (often misnamed Walnut), which is a transparent brown that is a lot more attractive in the flesh than the photographs can convey! Mocha Brown was introduced by Fender in 1973, and this was when black pick guards and pickups were first introduced on Stratocasters (only with Mocha Brown bodies). This bass plays and sounds great, and at 3.8kg (just under 8.4 pounds) is a nice weight, especially for a 1970s bass. Body is American Alder, and is beautifully resonant. The original frets have very little wear, and the bass has many more decades of active playing life left in it yet! The original factory finish is incredibly tidy, showing only the smallest of occasional marks and chips (check the pictures in the 'more pictures' link below). Truly amazing condition for a 34-year-old vintage Fender bass! Comes with a near-new moulded hard case, and recently re-strung with La Bella flatwounds. $3995AUD (plus shipping)
